Oppo has been one of the leading brands in India for the past few years. The Oppo K3 has been launched today in India. The device has been targeted for the young gamer’s audience as it is preloaded with GameBoost 2.0 along with DC dimming.
Previously the device was launched only in China and will go for sale in India from 23rd July. Oppo K3 was a success in the Chinese market, and the Chinese brand will expect the same results in the subcontinent.
The Oppo K3 has launched two variants in India. The 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory which is priced at Rs. 16,990. And, the 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory which will be available to the customers at a price tag of Rs. 19,990. As of now, the device is available in two colour variants – Aurora Blue and Jade Black.
Oppo K3: Full Specifications
Recently, brands like Vivo and Xiaomi have captured the mid-range price tag with devices such as the Vivo V15 and Realme X. Oppo K3 will rival these devices to become one of the bestselling mid-range smartphones in India.
Let’s start things off with the display, the Oppo K3 sports a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen without a notch, as the device has a pop-up camera which houses the device’s selfie snapper. A 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 1080×2340 pixels, 85..5% screen-to-body ratio, and 394 PPI density.
Oppo K3’s screen looks fairly vibrant, and the device has a brilliant finish at the back of the smartphone to give it an elegant look. As mentioned above, there are currently two colour variants available – Jade Black, Aurora Blue.
Oppo has done an excellent job with the processor of the device considering the device will be launched in the mid-range price tag.
Let’s have a look at the processor of the device; the Oppo K3 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm SDM710 Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with Adreno 616 GPU for the excellent gaming experience.
6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal memory which can’t be further increased as there is no dedicated card slot in the device. Considering the price range of the device, it is kind of a shocker.

So, coming to the cameras, the Oppo K3 sports a dual-camera setup, 16 MP, f/1.7 lens rear camera and an additional 2MP depth sensor. The 16MP front camera of the device will be operated by a motorized pop-up camera as there is no notch in the device.

According to me, the best feature of the device is the preloaded GameBoost 2.0 at such an affordable range. This feature will give an edge to the Oppo K3 over its competitor in the gaming device market as most of the youth prefer a device which can efficiently run games such as PUBG.
Oppo K3 is currently available in China and India. The device might be released globally in the near future, depending on the success of the device in these two countries. As of now, there is no official word on the global release of the smartphone we can expect the device to debut globally in the coming future.
